Posting as District councillor

 

 By Election result 6 May 2022

 

The seat vacated by former councillor Vivienne Clifford-Jackson, who had to retire due to ill health is posted below.

 

Yesterday (5th May) at the Mulbarton and Stoke Holy Cross By-Election Ian Spratt, who lives in Ashwellthorpe  topped the poll with a 9.6% swing , with a turnout at 39% - which was higher than in 2019. (Often By-Election turnouts are low compared to normal)

 

Full result -

 

Ian Spratt, Liberal Democrat 1,202 42.0%

 

Silvia Schmidtova, Conservative 969 33.8%

 

John Martin, Labour 402 14.1%

 

Tom Williamson, Green 183 6.4%

 

Andrew Pond, Reform UK 107 3.7%

Why is this appearing on the message board? This district councillor is clearly electioneering and his post has nothing to do with Spooner Row

The post is neutral, informative and make no comment and as a new district councillor in an adjacent patch is relevant , although I can see some who would not want this broadcast.

If it grates , perhaps asking why it happened and the reasons behind it, is a way forward for you to consider.

I have no editorial control and if the webmaster allowed it is because it is information and for some, suppression of information and messages they do not want to communicate or can control is apparently , their role in life. 

I would call that censorship personally and welcome the webmaster posting this result.

Had been overtly political I suspect it may have been edited or not posted in the first place
