Thank you for your email dated the 15 February 2023 regarding the works that are due to start on the 27 February 2023. I have been asked to respond to you as this falls within my area of responsibility.

A signed diversion route will be in place for the duration of the works. This has been approved by Norfolk County Council. I’ve included a copy of the route map at the end of this email. Traffic wishing to travel northbound will be diverted along the A1066 at Thetford, before travelling eastbound on the A140, and then northbound towards the A47. At the A47 junction, join the A47 westbound to Thickthorn Interchange. I’m sure as a local resident you are aware of the local roads, but this is the only approved diversion we are allowed to advertise. We want to keep the HGV’s off local roads.

The A11 Hethersett Bypass will have night closures between 8pm to 6am on the northbound only from Tuttles Interchange exit slip road to the Thickthorn Interchange exit slip road. These works will take place from 27 February 2023 to the 17 March 2023 inclusive. The southbound carriageway will still be open as normal.
