The SRCC's Minutes for December and January 2023 onwards are unavailable on the Community Council's website. I have received a request from the SRCC to publish them here each month until further notice:
I would like to know more about that. Who breached the email traffic? It implies R Foster? but not sure. Does this mean our confidential emails sent to Spooner Row Councillors were compromised?
Does the Council have a data protection procedure?
The minutes are signed off as accurate. Reading item 18b, I am annoyed that someone has possibly made security breaches with access to private emails. What is being done about this?
Sounds like a data protection issue, I hope the council are fully investigating the Councillor who was in involved with this! Are the council going to let the public know what has actually happened to stop speculation? I feel it’s only fair to know if Some of our personal information has been shared.
This wasn't a security breach but a councillor (...edited....)
And why is this website editing posts of support for this councillor and why has a linked thread been deleted. What is that all about?
(Dear Anon,
Thank you for your message. What "linked thread" are you referring to? No threads have recently been deleted, only posts that are unsuitable. Any post that contains inappropriate content is edited. Please note that the Spooner Row Community Council's Minutes will be published on this message board until further notice. Minutes are published here at the request of the Council.
Councillor Foster's comments about School Lane made under Public Participation (item 4) do not reflect the current situation: There is no longer a rear access within the development site for further housing as Variation 2022/0095 removed this when relocating plots 4 to 7. NCC Highways has expressed its grave concerns about further development to the back of the site, giving it a red status in the Village Clusters Site Assessment Document Dec 2022. Wymondham Town Council strongly objected to this development and did not want a public trod path built on the playing field for reasons such as maintenance, liability, and costs involved - the correspondence between Planning and WTC under Application 2016/0627 clearly shows this. A carpark extension was examined as an alternative to a trod path at WTC's Planning meeting on 17 Jan 2017 even though this would not have provided the extra pedestrian refuge required for walking on the highway.

Please note that the Spooner Row Community Council's Minutes will be published on this message board until further notice. Minutes are published here at the request of the Council.
These Minutes have been made available in draft format as no Council Meeting will be held tonight.
How can it be allowed that Mr Foster can put himself for election.
I have read all of the minutes and am shocked at this behavior. Am I missing something? Is this OK that he holds the council hostage and can continue his reign.
You would think. I read this on the web which sums up the election process, it doesn't account for the type of conduct described in the minutes
You cannot be a candidate if at the time of your nomination and on polling day: You are employed by the local authority or hold a paid office under the authority (including joint boards or committees) You hold a politically restricted post. You are the subject of a bankruptcy restrictions order or interim order
It all depends on the number of votes only as to who becomes a councillor and nothing else.
in the minutes page 6 there is a brief mention of the sale of council land. what land? how much of the playing field will be sold? a long term lease would be better than selling part of a village asset.
The bar to being a councillor is also a sentence suspended or otherwise for 3 months but if the police for whatever reason decide not to take the matter to court then there is no reason why a person cannot re stand
If my memory serves me correctly Councillor Halls was asking a question regarding difference between rules regarding lease and sale of land. There has never ever been any discussion regarding sale of any land whilst I have been a Councillor. I would be very unhappy if that happened on my watch, and never without consultation with the Electorate
That is correct a recent ruling from the courts said that SALE of council land HAS to be consulted upon with the electorate. It was silent on long term leases which was all I was trying establish.
Leases do not change ownership
