There is a copse of fir trees at the bottom of Suton Street where every other tree has been marked with a sprayed yellow dot. Now I assume that this means they are going to be cut down but for what reason exactly?
Does anyone know what is happening here bearing in mind the copse was a previous consideration for a traveller site.
I can clarify the situation to you regarding the woodland you have mentioned.
We (Spooner Row Community Council) have secured a licence from South Norfolk Council to manage this piece of woodland. We will shortly begin making the site access friendly by clearing areas for both walkways and activity sites. We hope to eventually allow groups to use the site for Children's activities, quiet areas for groups etc.
There are no plans to open up the site nor allow any development for residential use.
The trees you have mentioned at the front are to be felled for safety and visibility reasons.
For clarification the wooded area (looking from the roadside) is divided approx. 50/50 by a ditch. The parcel of land to the left of the ditch is private property.
