Only two candidates standing for the parish council have declared they are independent .  Does anyone know what parties the other candidates are standing for?

At parish level party politics are and should always be completely irrelevant

non declaration is in my case simply a reflection of this position and I believe that is the case for others too who simply want to work for the 3 hamlets and their benefit

John Morton and Robert Foster on this list are the only truly independent candidates. The rest are all village hall people.

What are you saying? because they are DECLARED independent they are somehow better than the village hall members who are already working for  the community  ?

Clearly Robert Foster and John Morton have issues with the rest of the council based on the voting leaflets they delivered this morning. Other councillors have stopped for a chat but this was drop and go. Some very personal allegations about current councillors, makes a mockery of the local council, this should be for the community not squabbling between grown adults! Obviously trying to get back at the others due to the allegations made about him.

When will this man be stopped ,he has upset various members of our community, distributing these vile leaflets and intimidating various female residents on their doorsteps and in the streets.  He is now using "neighbour next door"to spout his venom, I see a very insecure bully whose actions are not what our community needs. PLEASE GO AND VOTE for none of the above

All you have to do is look at who is the cause of all of this grief . It is Robert Foster and he did not even consult with John Morton before he sent the wholly spurious leaflet out in his name.

It is evidentially full of lies and half truths as is his next door post and I genuinely feel sorry for Mr Morton who , having engaged here with Robert Foster is now never going to get elected as a consequence.

Are you saying not to vote for any of the 10 candidates?

If a leaflet is full of lies that stated how can can it be half the truth please explain thus as you made the statement about full of lies

A half-truth is still a lie and can be just as nasty as a full-blown lie. No one should be spreading lies about others even at election time. It says more about the character of the prevaricator than anything else.

Isn’t it now time to move on ? The election result is what it is. Time to start looking at representing the community. It is their choice of candidates. Time to stop banging on about the past and working together. Personal views of councillors about other councillors should not be any part of this message board.

(Dear Anon,

Views of Councillors will continue to be welcome on this message board, particularly if they are already in the public domain such as letters read out at council meetings.

As I recall from the minutes the 'Move on - all in the past agenda' has been tried so many times before .

So four councillors who have resigned, later, and the same number of clerks counts for nothing apparently.

Anyway it has never worked before, but I hope I am wrong. I genuinely do
