Some have mentioned 'Oh we need the audit to maintain transparency'.
However I and others believe that the audit was unnecessary, will find nothing, will end-up costing residents a lot of money, and was vexatious in it's nature.

I thought it was normal practice for all parish councils to have an annual audit.

How much time and money has been wasted on the complaint with the auditor?! Most objections weren’t upheld and the ones that were seem like minor issues. The hours the clerk and the auditor have spent on this is a waste of our tax payers money, especially when Councillor Foster doesn’t even have a reason for raising these issues!!

I believe the cancelled/postponed elections will be next year for the newly organised unitary council for the county and district, and the parish council will be in 2027, as the last one was in 2023.
