On the agenda for this weeks community council meeting it says there is a sensitive issue to deal with , could this be to do with the last meeting to end early as there was yet another falling out of council members? Also why is the community council website not available !
(Dear Anon,
Thank you for your message. The Council's website is under development and has information available such as Council policies, finances, contacts, and meetings, see https://spoonerrow-cc.gov.uk/

The last time the council had a private meeting was due to the actions and attitude of Councillor Foster. Presumably this will be the same thing. As I understand it, he stormed out of the last meeting in a huff and it ended early.
What has the council achieved in the past year or more?
Why with such a huge amount of funds available have they spent next to nothing on improving things for the residents ? Is this council in any way effective and working for us? I have not seen any evidence of this.
The website is still not active.
next to no communication with the residents
isnt it about time we saw something positive from the council
The best thing to do is attend the council meeting tonight and ask these questions. I think most residents know who is causing the problems with so many resignations over the last year or two.
Communication with the residents is on the agenda.
I have just visited the council website and it's an improvement on the last one.
OK, so apart from managing the playing fields, dog bins, play equipment, objecting to emotive planning requests, gifting funds to the village hall, engaging with various parties on trying to resolve flooding issues, organised litter picks, what exactly have the council done for us!
Perhaps it’s about time the Community Council all resigned and we had a re election so that good proactive people could take over. There is a lot of money in the cc pot but as yet there is very little evidence of spending it for the benefit of the community

And don't forget keeping the Community Council operating despite the difficulty with infighting and resignations. The website says there are two vacancies on the Council so if anyone wants to change things why don't you join it and make a difference?
From what I understand its not so much the community council's fault as a whole with resignations and infighting, but mainly one individual.
Its a bit unfair to say its had a poor performance in the last 5 years, the council has only been running for about 6 years and the current situation is better than being run by Wymondham.
If you have concerns about the Community Council, the Village Hall, or any individuals please go through the appropriate channels with your concerns. This message board does not support your posts and are deleted. Posts about Julian Halls, who passed away last year, are unsuitable as he cannot defend himself.

Thank you for your comments. As explained previously on several occasions, this website is neutral and any councillor who may feel "vilified" is very welcome to post a reply here.

Why is the flashing vehicle speed awareness sign on Bunwell Road still out of action? It has been over a year now. Who is responsible for this after Martyn Lemon stopped looking after it?
No comments with regard to the poor state of the speed awareness sign? Well here is another.....
Lots of talk about last year’s flooding can be seen in the minutes of the Community Council with the Chair and Clerk attending meetings and walking around Spooner Row and Suton with various people but what has happened to the emergency sandbag bin for the playing field that was bought back in March? (....deleted....)
(Dear Anon,
(Best you address your specific queries at the next Community Council meeting.
