Just wondering if anyone else is frustrated with the parking in the village on a Tuesday night? I think there is something on at the church as well as the pub being busy. Whatever the reason, cars keep parking round the corner on to Chapel Road meaning you have to drive on the wrong side of the road on a blind bend to get to the houses further up Chapel Road. I dread something coming the other way! Anyone have any ideas of how to tackle this if others think it’s an issue? Thanks
Tuesdays is particularly tricky with the church events and busy pub which is great to see for the community
however the Parking is shocking and becoming more dangerous , yesterday evening grey car parked on the chapel road /station road junction making it impossible to see down chapel road when turning left I fear only a matter of time before an accident happens .
is there anything we can do as a community to hi light the issue? No yellow lines so I guess not a parking offence however common sense you think would prevail ? Is this something the community council could lead on and take forward for us ?
It’s regularly an issue around the guilers lane cross roads, not just in Tuesdays, it’s hard to see when cars are parked right in the junction in all directions, only a matter of time before this causes a crash. Parking along bunwell road is shocking too, they always block the pavements. I’ve contacted the pub a few times to ask them to request people don’t park across the junction but they clearly aren’t interested and don’t bother responding.
The junction with the pub/church/Bunwell Rd/Guilers Ln forms part of an HGV route through the village. Where's the joined-up thinking on the safety issues and the on-road parking?
