National Highways information forwarded by SRCC's Clerk:

Dear Customer

Important roadworks information

A11 southbound, London Road Roundabout, Attleborough to A1075 Thetford Bypass Roundabout - road markings, signs and studs renewal

I am writing to inform you of our planned work to replace road markings and studs along the A11 southbound between London Road Roundabout, Attleborough and A1075 Thetford Bypass Roundabout. Once complete, drivers will benefit from improved road safety and reflectivity of markings and studs.

We plan to complete this work over five weeks starting Monday 19 October 2026.

We will work overnight Monday to Friday between 8pm and 6am only, weather permitting.

Closures and diversions

To carry out the work safely, we will need to close the A11 southbound between London Road Roundabout, Attleborough and A1075 Thetford Bypass Roundabout, and divert traffic as follows:

Southbound Diversion:

  • Southbound motorists should take the A11 northbound to the A47 westbound at Thickthorn Interchange
  • Continue on the A47 westbound towards Swaffham
  • Leave the A47 at Swaffham and join the A1065 Castle Acre Road towards Mundford
  • At the roundabout with the A134 take the first exit onto the A134 towards Thetford
  • Rejoin the A11 northbound at Mundford Road Roundabout, resuming your journey

A map of the diversion can be found below.
